Short-eared Owl Field Trip

December 10, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

On Saturday, December 10, Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society will lead a late afternoon field trip to southern Montgomery County to view Short-eared owls and other grassland birds.  Participants will meet at 3:00pm at the Cooperstown Village Docks at the end of Fair Street in Cooperstown for carpooling. Short-eared owls are one of our few area owls that are active during the daytime.  Their preferred grassland habitats are also areas where we find northern harriers.  Join us on this trip for a great early winter birding experience!
