From DOAS Director, Bob Donnelly, May 26, 2017
We had nine groups in Otsego, Delaware and Schoharie counties counting birds. Altogether the reporting groups found 120 different species of birds with most groups finding some species that nobody else found. There were 22 species of warblers alone. Even though the day started cold, it warmed up enough that birds were active much of the day. Eleanor Moriarty, Karen and Bob Donnelly 101 species, Charlie Scheim and Sandy had over 90, along with Kay Crane’s group.
