Field Trip: Carey Conference Center, Saturday, 9/21

On Saturday September 21st, DOAS is planning a field trip to the Carey Conference Center, located in Rensselaerville, NY, about an hour and fifteen minutes from Oneonta, NY to view the famous sculptures of “The Lost Birds” by sculptor Todd McGrain. These birds are extinct but at one time would have been found in this area. The trip is a follow up to our Friday evening program on September 20th, of the film, The Lost Birds Project. Participants should meet at the Dietz Street Parking lot in Oneonta at 9:30am. The parking lot is located across from the YMCA in Oneonta. Please pack a lunch as the grounds of the Carey Conference Center has a beautiful area for a picnic. We might be able to view the fall migration of birds.

To register, contact Eleanor Moriarty, 607-435-2054.
