Alert: Constitution Pipeline Public Hearings

The Constitution Pipeline is now under the final consideration  to be built. The permitting Agency, The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
has issued the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for public comment.  If this project is approved, the impacts to our environment, to our birds and to our communities will be devastating.  For information on how to comment, go to the website: www.StopthePipeline.org.   Stop the Pipeline is a coalition of  local impacted landowners, concerned citizens and community organizations.   The deadline for submitting comments to FERC is April 7th, 2014.  Comments can be posted to the STP website and they will print and hand deliver them to FERC by March 31st. If submitting to the Stop the Pipeline website, please do so before March 31st.

Public Hearings will be held on the Draft Environmental  Impact Statement at 7:00PM on:

  • Monday, March 31st – Cobleskill-Richmondville High School –518-234-.3565
  • Tuesday, April 1st – Oneonta High School 607-433-8243
  • Wednesday, April 2nd – Afton High School 607-433-8243

The DOAS Board is currently working on written comments.  We will post these here at our website for reference once they have been completed and approved.
