Animal Tracks

Look behind you, what tracks do you see? Animal tracks, also known as animal signs or footprints, are the impressions left by animals as they move across various substrates such as soil, sand, snow, or mud. These tracks serve as a critical form of evidence for wildlife biologists and ecologists in understanding animal behavior, habitat use, and population dynamics. The study of animal tracks is an essential aspect of field research that aids in the identification of species presence and their ecological interactions within a given environment.
