2024 Bird Seed Sale

2024 Fall Bird Seed Sale

Stock up for the winter months ahead! From now through October, the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society (DOAS) will be accepting orders for bird seed. Our annual bird seed sale will raise funds to support local programming in 2025.

This sale is open to the public—membership isn’t required to order!

Your order directly supports DOAS’s programs! Proceeds will go toward field trips, special events, the Franklin Mountain Hawkwatch, youth summer programs, and speaker fees for meetings.

DOAS is offering quality, locally sourced bird seed to keep your feeders full throughout the winter. Choose from a variety of seeds, including:

  • Black oil sunflower seeds
  • Multiple seed blends
  • A special woodpecker blend
  • Nyjer seeds
  • Suet cakes
  • And more!

DOAS is also taking orders for bird-friendly coffee—harvested from coffee plantations that are certified by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center to meet rigorous standards for a product that is organic, fair trade, and supports habitat biodiversity.

LOCALLY GROWN SUNFLOWER SEED

Support our local farms with your purchase of this product – grown in Edmeston, NY.
This is a product that is dried and cleaned locally. Works great in tray or platform feeders; best single ingredient choice for attracting the most colorful songbirds.

ASPEN SONG BIRD SEED PRODUCTS

Featuring products from Birds and Beans – Triple Certified – Shade grown Smithsonian certified ‘Bird Friendly®’ coffee, which is also USDA Organic and Fair-Trade certified.
Shade grown Smithsonian certified ‘Bird Friendly®’ coffee, which is also USDA Organic and Fair-Trade certified. This blend has a mild, bright, flavor, with mango citrus notes, a light body and fragrant aroma – a delightful coffee for a pleasant start to your day.
Shade grown Smithsonian certified ‘Bird Friendly®’ coffee, which is also USDA Organic and Fair-Trade certified. From farmers Asociación Civil Guaya’b in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala, smooth and full-bodied with heavy notes of cocoa and walnuts. The acidity is mellow and flavor reminiscent of red apples.
Shade grown Smithsonian certified ‘Bird Friendly®’ coffee, which is also USDA Organic and Fair-Trade certified. From farmers co-op UCA San Juan del Río Coco in the Northern Nicaraguan Highlands, shows black cherry, raisin, cranberry, brown sugar and roasted chestnut in the cup.
Shade grown Smithsonian certified ‘Bird Friendly®’ coffee, which is also USDA Organic and Fair-Trade certified. From farmers co-op La Florida, high in the Andes in Peru, this is a smooth and creamy blend with savory sweetness of chocolate, caramel and almond.

This roast is a wonderful blend of coffees – balanced, sweet, somewhat bright with good body, has dominant Mandarin orange on the aroma, with nutty sweet toffee, clean and smooth in the cup.
