Boxes inspected on May 21, 2013 by Ruthe Ayres and John Davis.
Boxes 1 and 2 near Golf Maintenance Building. Boxes 3 and 4 southwest corner of upper golf course. Boxes 5 and 6 northeast corner of upper golf course. Boxes 7 and 8 in depression north of road leading to club house, boxes 9 and 10 east of the highway, across from the Farmers’ Museum Maintenance Building.
Box 1. Tree Swallows around. Deep Tree Swallow nest with some feathers. No eggs.
Box 2. Empty
Box 3. Empty
Box 4. Six Tree Swallow eggs. Photo below shows deer hair on right in nest in addition to typical feathers.
Box 5. Tree Swallow nester with 2 eggs.
Box 6. At least 4 large bluebird nestlings. See photo.
Box 7. Empty except again an active wasps’ nest. Removed.
Box 8. Five Tree Swallow eggs in nest.
Box 9. Tree Swallow on box and another peeking out the hole. Six eggs in nest.
Box 10. Bluebird flew out of box. Five bluebird eggs sim. to two weeks ago. Should be ready to hatch!
