Otsego Land Trust to Host Free Fly Casting Workshop

Otsego Land Trust (OLT) is excited to announce it will be hosting a fly casting workshop on the Ouleout Creek in Franklin, Saturday, April 23rd, from 1pm to 5pm. NYS Fishing Guide, Craig Buckbee, will be teaching the class.  Buckbee will instruct on many elements of fly fishing in our region, including the types of water, fish, insects, flies and techniques.

Participants need to come equipped with hip boots or chest waders and a valid NYS fishing license. If you have other gear: fly rods, flies, nets, etc., please bring it, otherwise it will be supplied.

There will be show and tell from Buckbee, on land casting instruction and some in water.

This workshop is for beginners and amateurs. Children 12 and over welcome, those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  Registration is required, space is limited to 8 people.
